July Bunco

We had July bunco at Courtney's house. She made us chicken enchiladas, spanish rice and beans. For dessert we had some pecan pie chocolate layer thing. It was yummy! She also made up virgin strawberry margaritas (no drunko bunco as she said).

Only five of us got the subliminal message in the email that we were having patriotic bunco and dressed in blue. The four of us had almost the exact same color of blue on.

Here is Sheri suddenly remembering she forgot to bring the bunco bucket, oops, run home real quick. Don't worry, we'll wait!

Olive Garden bunco

Kelley was the hostess this month and we were going to have several girls out this month. Summer seems to be a little more difficult to get together with all that is going on so Kelley decided we should just go out to eat. She chose Olive Garden, which we all love. So this month we had salad and breadsticks to go along with our talks and laughs.

Those in attendance were Kelley, Wendy, Jenn W., Jenn L., Cheryl and Melissa.









We had to stop and make fun of Jenn W for number one allowing her license to expire for almost a year and took a picture of the difference 10 years makes.



And then Kelley treated us to a yummy chocolate cake. As you can see it was really good.

May Bunco

Sheri was the hostess for our May bunco, we had pizza and pie, such a delight.

Stephanie and Melissa were are subs and Sally joined us as well.



Melissa had been feeling some labor pains earlier that day so Sheri decided it might be a good idea to put a bag underneath her, just in case. (of course we found out the next day it wasn't such a bad idea as all the uncontrollable laughter and fun sent Melissa into labor on Friday)



Since Wendy wasn't able to be there, Jen W. found a couple of new temporary camera buddies for the night.





Janet decided it might be fun to play a twist on a shall we say familiar bridal shower game. Here are some of the things that we say while playing bunco:



"Forget it, I can't do it"
"We are just slip sliding around"
Give me that, give me that, GIVE ME THAT"
"You don't tell a woman to stop"
"I can't sit on the long end"
"I think I should shake them"
"Why am I stopping?"
"This is Sally's first time to come"
"I'm going to use the other hand"


We also discovered a new way of rolling the dice by hitting the bottom of the card table and making the dice bounce. This resulted in uncontrollable laughter.

April bunco

Jen L. was the hostess for April. She decided to host at her mom's house so there would be plenty of room. There was craftiness everywhere from the decor to the prizes.

Our menu included mexican chicken and corn pudding and of course the chocolate fountain for dessert.

Jen W. rolled the first bunco of the evening. She was very excited when she rolled a second bunco thinking she would be able to take home the big bunco prize but Paula beat her out when she rolled 3 big buncos.





We kept score using these little boxes that Jen L. made for everyone and m&m's. We used a big peanut butter m&m's for big buncos and regular m&m's for wins. Wendy thought they made great little shakers.

I also have a great video of the two of them but I will refrain from posting on the internet for now. But the two of them better be real nice to me over the next few months, hehe!

March Bunco

Bunco in March was at Wendy's. We started with salad, pepperoni spaghetti, and bread. Then for dessert it was Chocolate Eclair Cake, yum yum! We made sure and ate extras for Jen W. who came up with a million excuses not to come, whatever. After a short infomercial by Wendy about the steam cleaner (and we all need one now) we started the rolling of the dice.









Michelle and Jen L. rolled big buncos at the exact same moment. There were not very many big buncos rolled last night.



We had to have roll offs for all three prize catergories: most buncos, least buncos, and most big buncos. We use our very cool light up disco dice for roll offs. Sheri really geared up for the roll.


And then she thought it might help if everyone blew good luck in the dice.


And it must have worked because she did win the prize.

Valentine Bunco and New Bracelets

Tonight was out February bunco at Leigh's house. We wore red and pink in honor of Valentine's day and because last year we had pajama valentine bunco and Leigh got these really cute heart pajama pants but had to leave last year so she wanted to wear them again.
Here is a sneak peak of the pants:


We started with a dinner of chili and baked potatoes followed by dessert with fondue chocolate and sugar cookies. Then it was time to start rolling the dice.
